100 word challenge climate change

What has society turned into? Look at where we are today. Smoke brewed from the house across. Masks soaked in the sewer and people just stared. Animals' homes were destroyed and melted. Bad weather and storms coming their way. Floods wrecked homes and made it hard for shelter. Do you really want a world of people dying and animals? I sure do not… but does it make any difference to me...The world is overheating. Like putting 8 blankets on you in summer. Forest fires destroy animals' homes. I am deeply upset with climate change.

Dawn Raid

1974-1976 Hiding under the covers, shutters closed, house silent. Hoping they wouldn’t hear. Families taken away from homes screams pitching away in the darkness. I was squeezing my mother’s hand as sweat trickled down my forehead. Bang! Bang! Someone was at the door knocking aggressively. “Open up!” A man said stubbornly. “Quickly, honey we got to leave this place, oh and if this is the last time we see each other, I love you…” My mother told me I had to leave and escape this place. “But I can’t leave without you!” tears flowed down my face. “Go!Go!” Mum wiped the tears across my face. I ran out the backdoor, I didn’t want to look back. This part of history remains a scar for Pasifika peoples in Aotearoa.

Stuck!

Stuck I totally regret this day as it hangs around with me since the INCIDENT. I walked into class like any other day. Eyes were attached to me, as I was the “Baddie” in the class, everyone knew that as I have to go to detention after school. I looked around to see if anyone was looking at me. The teacher was writing on the board not paying attention. There was my chance, I opened my bubble gum packet and slid one into my mouth. The boy next to me poked his tongue at me so I blew a bubble, then it popped right in my hair. I tried to tug on it trying to pull it out but it just made things worse.
